Where and how
Voy a España / a Francia / a Italia / a Inglaterra / a Escocia / a Portugal (use a for going to a place). Estoy en Madrid (en for being in a place).
Transport: en coche (by car), en tren, en avión (by plane), en barco (by boat), en autobús, en bici, a pie (on foot).
Accommodation: en un hotel, en un camping (a campsite), en casa de mis abuelos (at my grandparents' house).
What I do
nado en el mar (I swim in the sea), visito monumentos (I visit sights), hago esquí (I ski), como helados (I eat ice creams), juego en la playa (I play on the beach), tomo el sol (I sunbathe).
hace buen tiempo (it's nice weather), hace calor (it's hot), hace sol (it's sunny).
Future and past
Near future: voy a ir a España (I'm going to go to Spain), voy a visitar Madrid.
Past: fui a Francia (I went to France), visité París (I visited Paris), fue genial (it was great).
