Free GCSE revision, made in Guernsey

LycoLearn is a free revision website for Years 7 to 11, made in Guernsey by a student revising for their own exams. Channel Islands schools sit the same GCSEs as England, so every topic follows your exam board.

What you get, free

  • Every subject, your exam board

Notes, key terms, flashcards and quizzes for every GCSE and KS3 subject, following AQA, Edexcel, OCR or Eduqas.

  • Exam questions, easy to hard

Exam-style questions with mark schemes on every topic, and real past papers with grade boundaries.

  • Lyco AI

Explains any topic, answers your questions and marks your written answers against the mark scheme.

  • For teachers and tutors

Make a class with first names only, set work in minutes and see what the class got wrong.

Why it was made

The best revision sites cost money or hide the useful parts behind a subscription. LycoLearn started as one Guernsey student’s answer to that: everything a student needs for their GCSEs in one place, free, with no adverts, and better every week from what students and teachers ask for. Questions

Is there a revision website made in Guernsey?
Yes: LycoLearn (lycolearn.co.uk) is a free GCSE and KS3 revision website made in Guernsey by a Guernsey student. It has revision notes, quizzes, flashcards, exam questions with mark schemes and real past papers for every subject and exam board, and over 100 students use it.
Do Guernsey students take the same GCSEs as students in England?
Yes. Schools in Guernsey and Jersey enter students for the same GCSEs as schools in England, with AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR or WJEC Eduqas, so revision for those boards is exactly what you need. Ask your teachers which board each subject uses.
Is LycoLearn free?
Yes, for students, parents and teachers, with no adverts. That includes the revision planner and Lyco AI, which explains topics and marks written answers.
Can Guernsey teachers use it with their classes?
Yes. Teachers make a class by typing first names (students don’t need accounts or email addresses), set a topic or a test in a couple of minutes, and see every result, marked, with the questions the class found hardest.
Is it a replacement for a tutor?
It works well on its own or alongside a tutor: tutors can set topics and tests, and students can practise every day between sessions for free.
