Celebrities

un famoso / una famosa (a celebrity), una estrella (a star; feminine even for men), famoso/a (famous), conocido/a (well known), la fama (fame).
un / una cantante (singer), un actor / una actriz, un / una deportista (sportsperson), un / una influencer, un futbolista.
los fans, los seguidores (followers), las redes sociales (social media), la telerrealidad (reality TV), los paparazzi, la vida privada (private life).

un modelo a seguir (a role model): mi modelo a seguir es… porque…
Lo / La admiro porque… (I admire him / her because…) trabaja mucho (works hard), ayuda a los demás (helps others), apoya una organización benéfica (supports a charity), es generoso/a.
dar buen / mal ejemplo (to set a good / bad example), tener una buena / mala influencia en los jóvenes (to have a good / bad influence on young people).
Use the personal a before people: admiro a mi madre, sigo a una cantante (I follow a singer).

For: ganan mucho dinero (they earn a lot of money), viajan por todo el mundo (they travel all over the world), pueden usar su fama para ayudar a otros (they can use their fame to help others).
Against: no tienen vida privada (they have no private life), los paparazzi los siguen a todas partes (the paparazzi follow them everywhere), reciben mensajes crueles en internet (they get cruel messages online), hay mucha presión.
(No) me gustaría ser famoso/a porque… (I would (not) like to be famous because…).

Object pronouns go before the verb: lo admiro (I admire him), la sigo (I follow her), los veo (I see them).
Que joins ideas: una cantante que escribe sus canciones (a singer who writes her songs).
Comparisons: más famoso que (more famous than), menos rico que (less rich than), tan… como (as… as).
Si + imperfect subjunctive, then conditional (Higher): si fuera famoso, ayudaría a los demás (if I were famous, I would help others).
