The six anthology works
- Artificial Things (Lucy Bennett, Stopgap Dance Company): created by an integrated company of disabled and non-disabled dancers, including a wheelchair user.
- A Linha Curva (Itzik Galili, Rambert): a lively ensemble work influenced by Brazilian culture, with a percussion score and a lighting grid.
- Infra (Wayne McGregor, The Royal Ballet): a contemporary ballet about city life and human relationships, with music by Max Richter and an LED screen designed by Julian Opie.
- Shadows (Christopher Bruce, Phoenix Dance Theatre): a family facing hardship and an outside threat, with music by Arvo Pärt.
- Within Her Eyes (James Cousins Company): a dance film duet about a relationship, filmed on location.
- Emancipation of Expressionism (Kenrick "H2O" Sandy, Boy Blue): a hip hop work for a large ensemble with striking unison.
What to know for each work
- The choreographer and company, the choreographic intention, the style, the structure, and key motifs.
- The features of production: staging and set, lighting, costume, dancers and aural setting.
- How the choreography and production features communicate the intention.
