What you can do
Every topic, your exam board
Choose AQA, Edexcel, OCR or Eduqas and see the topics in the order your specification teaches them. AQA topics also say which exam paper they’re on.
Five ways to practise
Quiz, flashcards, match-up, quick-fire and tower, plus exam-style questions with mark schemes for every topic.
Past papers with marking
Real past papers with their mark schemes, and online practice papers (including AQA ones) that mark themselves.
Your mistakes come back
Questions you get wrong go on your list and come back until you get them right, which is how revision really sticks.
A progress tracker
Revision time is counted for you, with streaks, XP, scores for every topic and grades from papers and mocks.
Lyco, the AI helper
Stuck? Ask Lyco. It explains topics step by step, quizzes you and checks what’s in your exam.
How revising works
Learn it, test it, then keep it
- 1Pick your subjectsChoose your exam boards once. Every course then shows your board’s topics (and for AQA, which paper each one is on).
- 2Learn a topicStart with the big ideas, then the notes, diagrams and key terms. Stuck? Lyco explains it step by step.
- 3Test yourselfQuizzes, exam questions and past papers. Anything you get wrong comes back until you’ve got it.
For teachers
Your classes, homework and a markbook, free.
Make each class and share its code: students join once, from their own account. Set a topic, a past paper or a quiz made from your own slides as homework, and see every result in the class markbook. Using Google Classroom or Teams? Post the code or the homework link there.
- 1Make your classesAdd each class, then share its code or print the join slips. Students join once.
- 2Set work in a minuteA curriculum topic, a past paper, or a quiz made from your own slides. Or play it live in class.
- 3See who needs helpA markbook for each class, and the questions most of the class got wrong.
For parents and carers
See how their revision is really going.
Make a free parent account and connect it to your child’s with a code from them. You’ll see how long they revise each day, their streak, past paper grades and mock results, all in one place. You never see their answers, and they can always see who’s connected.
Questions
Anything else? See the help page.
- Is LycoLearn free?
- Yes. Notes, questions, past papers, the progress tracker, classes and homework are free with an account, and so are the revision planner and the AI helpers. Teachers and schools use everything free too.
- Which exam boards and years?
- GCSE courses for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas, and KS3 for Years 7 to 9. Topics follow your board’s specification, and AQA topics show which exam paper they’re on.
- Do students need an account?
- A free account keeps your scores, mistakes and progress, and you need one to keep revising after your first topic. To play a class game, a code from the teacher is all it takes.
- Is it safe for children?
- There are no adverts. Students join classes from their own account, class results are deleted after 30 days, and the AI helper never gets students’ names, email addresses or schools.
Built for schools
- No adverts, and free for schools and teachers.
- Class games need only a code and a first name.
- Class results are deleted after 30 days.
- Rude nicknames are blocked, even disguised ones.
- Activities run in a locked-down sandbox.
- Made in Guernsey, for UK and Channel Islands schools.
